Juan Lebron and Franco Stupaczuk made quick work of breakfast—just 51 minutes. The No. 3 seeds at the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel brushed past Arnau Ayats—representing the UAE—and Pablo Garcia Rodrigo with a dominant 6-3 6-2 win in the first match on Pietrangeli. A convincing debut for "El Lobo" (Rome 2022 champion with Ale Galan) and the Argentine, who will be back in action tomorrow against the “Javis,” Javier Barahona and Javi Garcia, who ousted Italians Lorenzo Di Giovanni and Simone Iacovino on Court 7. On the same court, Momo Gonzalez and Jon Sanz ended the dream run of Enzo Jensen and Andres Fernandez Lancha, beating them 6-2 7-6 in a dramatic tie-break closed 16-14 by the No. 5 seeds. Momo and Jon will next face Alex Ruiz and Maxi Sanchez, who edged Victor Ruiz and Xisco Gil 7-5 7-6.

Over on Centre Court, after wins by Chingotto/Galan and Sanchez/Santigosa (whose match was completed from the night before), came the first major upset of the tournament: Brazilian Lucas Campagnolo and Spaniard Nachi Sager knocked out No. 8 seeds Pablo Cardona and Leo Augsburger 7-6 7-5 in 89 minutes. The “Carburger” duo’s defeat clears the path for the defending champions, who could have faced one of the tour’s toughest pairs—especially outdoors—in the quarterfinals.
