From June 17th to 23rd, the long awaited event of the padel season returns to Foro Italico: 134 matches in 9 days, for a guaranteed show thanks to the combined formula – with women and men competing simultaneously (men's main draw with 56 pairs, women's with 48) – which will be repeated after last year's historic first edition.

Packed stands. The crowd's cheers accompanying the successful ‘smashes’. The 'gladiators' and 'gladiatrices' of padel are ready to battle in the Foro Italico arena to attempt to seize the crown won twelve months ago by Coello-Tapia in the men's category and Ortega-Triay in the women's.
From the qualifiers on Saturday, June 15th, to the finals on Sunday, June 23rd, the greatest padel returns to Rome with BNL Italy Major Premier Padel: thanks to the joint efforts of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation and Sport e Salute, Italy is confirmed as one of the privileged nations chosen by Premier Padel and the International Padel Federation to host some of the biggest, most important, and iconic events in this sport.
Nine courts (including the Central court) will be available for the most anticipated tournament of the padel summer, one of the four major tournaments in the world alongside Doha, Paris, and Acapulco: 134 matches in 9 days, for a guaranteed show thanks to the combined formula – with women and men competing simultaneously (men's main draw with 56 pairs, women's with 48) – which will be repeated after last year's historic first edition.
The anticipation is growing, as is the hunt for tickets for this third edition of the event, with BNL BNP Paribas continuing in the role of title partner. Just as with tennis, BNL BNP Paribas supports FITP for padel as well: when FITP decided to officially include this discipline in 2023 by changing its name, the Bank wanted to extend its partnership by becoming the title sponsor of the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel: a commitment aimed at replicating, for this sport as well, the success already achieved together for the Internazionali BNL d’Italia. Along with BNL BNP Paribas, Wilson, MINI, Algida, Padel Nuestro, Mejor Set, Mondo, Valmora, and TicketOne confirm their participation as partners. Starting this year, Birra Castello and Red Bull will provide their support as official partners, along with Betsson.sport as the official infotainment partner. Corriere dello Sport, Il Messaggero, and RTL 102.5 are confirmed as official media partners.
THE TOP PLAYERS RETURN TO ROME – The BNL Italy Major Premier Padel in Rome will once again feature all the top players from the international circuit, competing for one of the four most prestigious titles in the world. The number one pair will be leading the pack, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, who won one of their many titles of a triumphant season at Foro Italico in 2023. This year, the 'Golden Boys' have started just as strongly and will return to Italy trying to repeat their victory in a scenario that has changed since twelve months ago, with the breakup of the partnership between Alejandro Galan and Juan Lebron. Galan has chosen Federico Chingotto as his new partner, with whom he has won three of the first six tournaments they participated in; the 29-year-old from Puerto de Santa María will be in the Capital alongside Italian fan favorite, Paquito Navarro. The BNL Italy Major Premier Padel 2024 will also be memorable as it will be the last chance to see Argentine Fernando Belasteguin in action in Rome: together with Juan Tello, the legend will seek one of the last highlights of his remarkable career before ending it at the close of this season.
The women's tournament will be equally exceptional, with a draw offering 2,000 key points in the battle for the world lead, contested between current leaders Ari Sanchez-Paula Josemaria and chasers Delfi Brea-Bea Gonzalez. The 2023 champions are split: Gemma Triay will play with the very young Claudia Fernandez, while Marta Ortega will compete with Veronica Virseda. Among the notable names is also former No. 1 Marta Marrero, who, after a break for maternity, will debut in Rome alongside Argentine, Aranzazu Osoro.
Naturally, the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel will also be an opportunity for numerous Italian players to compete with the world's best. This is a precious chance, especially for the young Flavio Abbate and Giulio Graziotti, the breakout pair of the first half of 2024, who have won four international titles. There will also be the Premier Padel debut of the pair Sinicropi-Di Giovanni (recently reunited), and the return of multiple Italian champion Simone Cremona, who has just started – with immediate success – a project with portuguese Nuno Deus.
Great anticipation also surrounds the italian women, especially the number one Carolina Orsi: Top 30, roman, who last year narrowly missed the quarterfinals alongside Patty Llaguno and will try again this year with another former number one, the spanish Carolina Navarro. Foro Italico will also see the international return of Giulia Sussarello and Emily Stellato, who have recently restarted together (immediately winning a title in the national Slam by MINI circuit) after Giulia’s maternity leave. Not to be forgotten are Carlotta Casali, Lorena Vano, Chiara Pappacena, and Giorgia Marchetti, who dream of having a standout week in the most coveted tournament of the season.
THE SCHEDULE OF THE MATCHES – The BNL Italy Major Premier Padel will kick off with the qualifiers: the men's qualifiers will be held on June 15th and 16th, while the women's qualifiers will take place on the 17th. The men's main draw will begin on June 17th, followed by the women's main draw the next day.
The semifinals will be played on June 22nd: the first two (women's, followed by one men's) will start at 3:00 PM; the remaining matches will not begin before 7:00 PM. On June 23rd, starting at 6:30 PM, the finals will take place, with the women's final first, followed by the men's.
